Whilst much of the focus will be on returning stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, the appearance of a grown-up Monica Rambeau also has fans intrigued. Mad Men‘s Toyonah Parris has been cast in the role, and the actor has already explained how excited she is to play the “badass” character.
Trailers for WandaVision have already given us a hint of how Monica Rambeau will fit into the series as an Agent of S.W.O.R.D. Now Parris has revealed that the series will also explore what has happened to the character since we last saw her as a child in Captain Marvel.
Speaking during a virtual press conference for the release of WandaVision, Parris said:

Parris also stated that the series will show what Monica Rambeau “has seen and gone through” since her appearance in Captain Marvel:
WandaVision will premiere on Disney+ this coming Friday, January 15th.
