WandaVision is the upcoming Phase 4 mini-series that will air on streaming service Disney+. It will feature Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a Scarlett Witch, and Paul Bettany as Vision. Not much of the plot is known but it seems to revolve around the resurrection of Vision after his demise at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. While his revival will most likely play a large part of the series, from the Superbowl trailer it appears there is also a lot going on with Scarlett Witch. From the trailer, it appears as though she is trapped in some sort of Sitcom setting …
One question on most people’s minds though is the current production progress. WandaVision is penned in for release in December this year and after the recent delays to filming was this going to be another victim of rescheduling?
Well, thanks to Murphy’s Multiverse we have confirmation that not only has filming concluded, the visual effect work is also complete. This means the production is now in its editing stage.
What does this mean?
This news means that the series should be good to go ahead with its originally planned release of December this year. With confirmation that the series will tie into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and production for this being pushed back to 2022, the studio may decide to move the release date, to one closer to that of the film. Although this would most likely disappoint fans it would make sense with regards to the story-telling.
