After months of speculation, the wait is finally over. Marvel Studios has officially revealed when WandaVision will premiere on Disney+ — and unfortunately, it’s a bit later than previously hoped.
The announcement, which came via WandaVision‘s official Twitter account, reveals that the WandaVision will premiere on January 15th, 2021. The Tweet included a new short video/teaser poster, which reveals some images from the show. You can check it out below:
The announcement confirms the report from earlier this week that the suggested series would be delayed until next year. WandaVision was initially scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in December, however, production delays caused by the Coronavirus pandemic had put the release in doubt. The show will be the first MCU series to debut on Disney+ following the delay of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier earlier this year.
Details on WandaVision‘s plot are a closely guarded secret. The series is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame and will star Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. The couple will live out their dream lives in a sitcom-inspired suburban America. From the debut trailer, it’s clear everything isn’t as it seems, especially considering the fact the Vision died during Avengers: Infinity War.
