WandaVision Funko Leak Potentially Reveals the Return of an MCU Character

WandaVision is currently scheduled to release on Disney+ later this year. The recently released debut trailer for the show gave fans a hint of what to expect from the series, and we’ve already been promised by actor Paul Bettany that things will get “more and more bonkers.”

A recent leak for an exclusive Emerald City Comic Con Funko Pop two pack has potentially revealed a huge WandaVision spoiler.. The leak from @Serlentpops, an account that has made a habit of unearthing Funko Pop info, reveals that the ECCC exclusive pack will reportedly feature Wanda’s dead brother Quicksilver alongside Vision.

We last saw Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron when he sacrificed himself to save Hawkeye. Rumours that Quicksilver will make an appearance in the WandaVision have been circulating online for months. An audition tape for one of Wanda and Vision’s twins referred to their uncle sleeping on the couch. However, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who played Quicksilver in the MCU, stated afterwards that he won’t be making a return.

Evan Peters, who played Quicksilver in Fox’s X-Men films was then reportedly cast in a “key” role in WandaVision, which naturally led to further rumours that he could reprise his past role.

WandaVision is set in the MCU after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The trailer for the series suggests that Wanda Maximoff has, somehow, created an alternate reality for herself and her deceased partner Vision. The series will also feature multiple time periods, which also indicates that Wanda is able to change the reality in which she and Vision live out their ideal lives in suburban America. If Wanda is able to bring back one deceased loved-one, it’s entirely possible that she could also bring back her brother.

Whilst there’s no official confirmation if Quicksilver will appear in WandaVision yet, the evidence continues to stack up. The thought of Evan Peters returning to the role doesn’t seem as far fetched after the recent news that Jamie Foxx will play Electro again in Spider-Man 3. It’s also possible that Aaron Taylor-Johnson could have filmed a small role in secret.

Fans eager to find out if Quicksilver will make an appearance in WandaVision won’t have too long to wait. The series will debut on Disney+ before the turn of the year.
