Several MCU stars have been arriving in Sydney, Australia in recent weeks to complete their mandatory quarantine before they can begin shooting Thor: Love and Thunder. In a recent Instagram post, actor Chris Hemsworth indicated that filming is about to get underway this week.
With production for Thor: Love and Thunder ramping up, early images have appeared online which reveal some of the film’s set. The Daily Mail has published a few photos of crew members constructing a set in Sydney’s Centennial Park. The images reveal various mounds of earth alongside set pieces that resemble rock mounds.

Eagle-eyed fans have speculated that this could be the set for the home planet of Christian Bale‘s character, Gorr the God Butcher. Gorr was born on a harsh and barren planet which lacked water and wild animals. The struggle to find resources to feed his family resulted in Gorr losing faith in the Gods and ultimately being exiled by his people.
Given the fact that Thor: Love and Thunder will be the first time fans have seen Gorr in the MCU, it would make sense for the film to reveal some of his backstory.
