The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was originally planned to be the debut Marvel Studios series to release on Disney+. Production on the show was paused in March 2020 due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and filming didn’t continue again until last Fall. The series was officially delayed to 2021 by Marvel Studios in September, prior to an official release date being announced by Kevin Feige at Disney’s Investor Day.

With The Falcon and the Winter Soldier now just over a month away from release, we still don’t know much about the series’ plot. What we know for certain is that the show will continue the story of Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson/Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. The show will be set after the events of Avengers: Endgame and will introduce Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent alongside returning villainous characters Georges St-Pierre as Batroc the Leaper and Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo. Actor Don Cheadle, who plays the MCU’s War Machine, recently let slip that he will also appear in the series.

Another character returning for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is Emily vanCamp’s Sharon Carter, who we last saw in Captain America: Civil War. A new merchandise listing on Hot Topic has revealed what the character’s story-arc may look like in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The T-Shirt, which was spotted by The Direct, shows an image of VanCamp’s Sharon Carter and the word WANTED in large text. The T-Shirt continues:

Wanted for breaking the Sokovia Accords. Trained by S.H.I.E.L.D., presumed dangerous. If seen, contact authorities. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO APPREHEND.

Images of the T-Shirts can be seen below:

In an interview prior to production for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier resuming, Anthony Mackie described the series as like a full-blown Marvel Studios production separated in six episodes. Judging from the trailer released in December, it looks like we’re in for an action-packed few weeks when the series finally hits Disney+. You can check out the trailer below:

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on Friday, March 19th.
