During an interview on The Tonight Show last week, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie revealed that there’s “very little stuff to do” to wrap up filming on the show. In the same interview, Mackie also stated that production would resume “hopefully sometime soon.”
The Disney+ show was filming in the Czech Republic before Marvel Studios paused production in March due to the Covid-19 outbreak. A fresh report today from an extras casting agency suggests that Marvel Studios are assessing the possibility of resuming production for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in the country sometime in late July/early August.
The post appeared on Extrafilms’ Facebook page and used the code name “Tag Team” in its call for extras. The “Tag Team” name is a well-known working title for the upcoming The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
If the report does come true, it’s great to hear that production on Marvel Studios’ debut show on Disney+ will be returning to work soon. However, if the date of late July or early August is correct, it almost certainly means that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier won’t be coming to the streaming service in August.
