With so much content set to be released over the course of 2021 and 2022 in the MCU, there are some projects that seem to be getting less attention than others. One of these is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
There is very little known of the third movie in the Ant-Man trilogy except it will explore the Quantum realm in more detail. The introduction of Kang the Conqueror also suggest there may some time travel involved. This may also be a great place to build on a new superhero team, the Young Avengers.
While the film is still in its early stages of production, we have had reports recently that filming is underway in Turkey. The latest update has thrown the return of one character into doubt. According to the Hollywood Reporter, actor T.I. has been dropped from the cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
T.I. played Dave, a member of Scott Lang’s X-Con security team, in the previous two Ant-Man movies. It was a small supporting role and one that may not be missed too much in the third movie.
The news comes off the back of a slew of sexual abuse allegations, but Variety has confirmed that the accusations are not related and his character was not planned to return for the film anyway.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set for release in 2022. If you wish to stay updated with the latest MCU news and rumours, why not sign up for our newsletter.
