In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Alden Ehrenreich, who played the younger version of Harrison Ford’s Han Solo in the 2018 Star Wars movie, Solo, has spoken out about the prospect of one day joining the MCU and what he would be looking for is he were to be offered a role.
“To me, it’s always, who’s behind it, who’s the director? Or in this case, the showrunner?”
And what sort of role? Because some of these genre pieces, whether it’s action, superhero stuff, or horror, or whatever, sometimes have tremendous depth. Is the person who’s making it really in love with the thing that they’re making?
Or is it sort of a money thing? And some of these bigger things do feel like they really have this great vision behind them,” Alden added.
So it’s always like, it’s hard to categorically know, I take it on a case by case basis.
While this does not give any indication whether we will see Alden in the MCU, it at least shows he has some interest and would consider it. His versatile acting would be a great fit for the MCU and allow him to take on a variety of roles.
