The game is the follow-up to Spider-Man, which released to critical acclaim on the PS4 in 2018. This time around, however, fans will play as a new Spider-Man in the shape of Miles Morales. Marvel fans will no doubt recognise the name, as Miles has was introduced to comics in 2011 as one of the characters to take on the role of the web-slinger. He also appeared in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie.

This won’t be the first time that PlayStation fans have seen Miles. He is a playable character in some missions during the original Spider-Man and received his superhero powers at the end of the game when he was bitten by a radioactive spider. During the game’s DLC, Miles would often call Peter Parker asking for help with training.
