If you continued to watch Spider-Man: Far From Home once the credits started to roll, you’ll have been left with a major cliffhanger. Just when it seemed that Peter Parker had saved the day, a news broadcast revealed the web-slinger’s true identity and an edited video framed him for the murder of Mysterio.
That shocking ending set up the as-yet-untitled Spider-Man 3 nicely. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has caused the film to be moved from its original release date of July next year to November. In July, it was announced that Spider-Man 3 had been delayed again, with a new release in December 2021.
Production for Spider-Man 3 has also changed dates due to the global pandemic. Filming was originally scheduled to begin earlier this summer but was moved to the fall. Tom Holland himself even revealed in an interview that he planned to finish filming on the sequel in February.
Now it seems like filming has been rescheduled again based on a new story from The Direct. The site claims that production has been delayed until “winter 2021”, which means it will be January or February before cameras being to roll.
Spider-Man 3 is currently scheduled to release on December 17th of next year. Only time will tell if these new production delays will cause the film’s release to slip again.
