With the release of the yet-untitled Spider-Man 3 being delayed until November 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. There have been hints as to when production will resume, although nothing has been confirmed. We have some good as it appears the insider Charles Murphy, may have some good news.
Murphy has revealed that he has a list of a potential return date for Marvel Studio’s production’s in September. He states that Marvel is aiming to continue with Spider-Man 3 in late September – early October.
What Does This Mean
While the world recovers from the current pandemic so are the entertainment industry. It has been revealed that many countries and states of the U.S are already setting guidelines of the “new normal” when it comes to the production of films and T.V shows. Only last month the U.K approved high-end film and TV production. This means that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ant-Man 3, and Moon Knight have the green light to proceed with production.
However, with the unpredictable nature of this pandemic, this does not mean there may not be further delays. Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings for example are facing further possible delays due to stricter protocols.
With the cliffhanger at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the movie has a huge plot twist to explore. The delay will give the writers and director more time to explore ideas so maybe a good thing. The film’s plot and working title are a closely guarded secret, even the usually loose-lipped Tom Holland saying nothing, we will need to wait for more news on this. As always we will keep you up to date with any further news we hear.
Spider-Man 3 is due for release in November 2021.
