The Coronavirus pandemic continues to cause headaches for Hollywood, with the news arriving late yesterday that the release dates of two more MCU Phase 4 movies have been pushed back.
First up, Sony has announced that the Spider-Man 3 which was originally scheduled to release in July has now been pushed back by four months to November 5th. Fans of the Web-Slinger were also dealt another blow with the news that the sequel to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse will also be delayed from April 8th, 2022 to October 7th.
If you’ve been keeping up with the MCU Phase 4 release schedule, you’ll have noticed that the Spider-Man 3 date change conflicts with the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Well, that’s no longer an issue, as Marvel were quick to reveal that the sequel to Doctor Strange will now open on March 25th, 2022.
Fingers crossed, that’s the last of the delays. With the picture still very unclear as to when theaters around the world will be able to open again, however, who knows?
