With news being fairly scarce over the last few months, fans have been clamoring for things to get back to normal. Well, it now looks as though Marvel is getting the wheels rolling and ramping things up. She-Hulk is one project that has had very little information since it was announced. But it is getting two great pieces of news today.
New Crew Member
The first announcement is that Marvel has filled a major position. In a recent report from Deadline, it is believed that Marvel has hired Kat Coiro, to helm the pilot and several episodes of the Disney+ show. The report also states that Coiro will assume the role of executive director for the series. Coiro has an impressive resume having worked on several hit series like Brooklyn-Nine-Nine, Modern Family, and Shameless.
With her previous TV work predominantly being in the comedy genre, Coiro will have a lot to offer on this note. She will be able to give character-driven stories while keeping She-Hulk relatable.

Filming Update
The filming for the show was originally planned to begin in July until the global pandemic hit. The Direct has reported that “trusted sources” have confirmed Marvel Studios has scheduled a time to get the cameras rolling. The report states that filming is planned to begin in February 2022. The series is expected to be filmed in Atlanta like the other Disney+ projects.
Having a confirmed filming date means that we can expect some sort of announcement as to who will be playing the title character. Reports so far say that the studio is looking for an Alison Brie type actor aged around 26-34.
Other than the above we know very little on the She-Hulk project, except that the script is already written and was completed months ago. The series is currently slated for release sometime in 2022. This date may change depending on if there are any further delays.
