Secret Warriors Reportedly in Development by Marvel Studios

Following hot on the heels of the recent report that Marvel Studios are working on Ghost Rider project comes the news that Marvel’s Secret Warriors is also in the early stages of development.

The report comes via Geeks WorldWide and was further corroborated by MCU Cosmic‘s Jeremy Conrad. Similar to the Ghost Rider rumour, it’s not yet known if the Secret Warriors project will be a film or TV project for Disney Plus. The only detail we do have is that Marvel is looking for a writer and that Kevin Feige is set to produce.

The original Secret Warriors team was an undercover group led by Nick Fury, which included Quake, Phobos, Yo-Yo Rodriguez, Hellfire, Sebastion Druid and Stonewall. A second iteration of the team was formed for DisneyXD’s Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors animated series which featured Ms. Marvel, Patriot, Inferno, America Chavez, Squirrel Girl, and Captain Marvel.

With the seventh and final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. set to premiere later this month, a spinoff show featuring Quake (Chloe Bennet) and Yo-Yo (Natalia Córdova-Buckley) would make the most sense, and also opens up the possibility of a new Marvel series continuing on ABC.
