After halting production on all of its upcoming shows and films in mid-March due to the Coronavirus pandemic, recent signs suggest that Marvel Studios is set to return to work.
WandaVision, which is currently scheduled to release on Disney+ in December, appears to be one project that has been given the green light to resume production. According to a post by the Tampa Bay Comic Convention on Facebook yesterday, Paul Bettany (Vision) has had to cancel his scheduled appearance “due [to] being called back by Disney for WandaVision filming in July.”
Whilst the news will likely be greeted with sadness for TBCC fans, the return to filming is a good sign for the show hitting its scheduled release date later this year. When production was halted a few months ago filming for WandaVision had reportedly finished, with post-production work continuing remotely. If those reports are true, it’s possible that Bettany and other co-stars are simply returning for reshoots or to film additional scenes.
WandaVision it set to stream on Disney+ this December.
