The MCU’s Phase 4 has undergone several delays and had to shift its release schedule around a few times. It was expected to kick off last May with Black Widow but instead launched this January with the Disney+ series WandaVision. This was followed up by the ongoing The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. Loki will follow in June before we finally get to see Black Widow in July.
Black Widow will feature an all-star cast and considering the filming and production was completed well over a year ago, it is surprising that we are still finding out about new cast members.
The film will feature Scarlett Johansson who is playing Natasha Romanoff, Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova and David Harbour as Red Guardian. We now have news from The Direct who claim that Olga Kurylenko is set to appear in a “limited role”.
Who the actress will play is yet to be revealed. We also don’t know the extent of this limited role and it may even be that her part is left on the cutting room floor, similar to what happened with Katherine Langford’s role as a grown-up Morgan Stark in Avengers: Endgame.
We will have to wait until July 9th, 2021 when Black Widow will launch simultaneously at theatres and on Disney+ with Premier Access to find out exactly who Kirylenko will be playing.
