The news seems to be pouring in for the MCU and today is no different. Following the recent news that Ms. Marvel directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah had wrapped filming, it appears production has indeed moved to Bangkok.
Newcomer Iman Vellani takes on the titular character who’s real name is Kamala Khan. The cast has been added to over the last few months, and while some episodes have some huge names attached to the directing credits, most of the cast are up and coming actors. We recently reported that Alysia Reiner has been added to the cast and this would make her one of the more well-known actors on the roster.
Another addition was Aramis Knight who will be playing the role of the vigilante, Red Dagger. In a short video shared by @cosmic_marvel on Twitter, Knight reveals he is in Bangkok, confirming filming is indeed moving to Thailand.
While not much is known of the project, it can be assumed that Bangkok will be used as the backdrop to Red Dagger’s hometown. We may see him form a relationship with Kamala and teach her his ways.
If other rumours are to be believed, there may be a chance that the series will not only see Kamala’s latent Inhuman abilities surface, but we may also get a look at some new and rebooted Inhumans members.
Ms. Marvel is set to launch on Disney+ later this year. As we hear more on the project, we will as always keep you updated.
