Marvel Studios is currently hard at work filming multiple projects that are due to release at the back end of this year. One of those projects will see the debut of Kamala Khan in the MCU, with newcomer Iman Vellani, set to play the titular role in the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel.
Filming on Ms. Marvel has been underway in Atlanta for a number of months. Not much is currently known about the show’s plot, but we were treated to a brief glimpse of Ms. Marvel at Disney’s Investor Day last December. We also know that the series will be directed by Bad Boys for Life directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
After a number of months filming in Atlanta, Georgia, Murphy’s Multiverse is reporting that production on Ms. Marvel is set to switch to Bangkok in Thailand next month. The report was backed up on Instagram by Atlanta Filming, who have been keeping track of the show’s production.
It’s currently unclear why Bangkok has been chosen specifically for the project, or how much of the show’s crew will be making the switch in location. However, Bangkok is likely being used as a substitute location for Badin in Pakistan, which is where Kareem/ Red Dagger is from.
Ms. Marvel is currently scheduled to begin streaming on Disney+ at the end of this year.
