Marvel Studios has officially announced that a Fantastic Four movie in development. The news was revealed by Marvel President Kevin Feige during Thursday’s Disney Investor Day presentation. The first MCU Fantastic Four film is set to be directed by Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts.
Fans have been eager to find out when Marvel’s first family will be joining the MCU, ever since Disney purchased Fox in a deal worth $71.3 billion last year. Feige confirmed that a Fantastic Four movie would be coming during Marvel’s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019.
No information regarding the film’s cast has been announced, but there have been recent rumours that suggest John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are in talks to play the roles of Mr. Fantastic and The Invisible Women.
