It has now been confirmed that Loki, the latest live-action Marvel series to land on Disney+ this summer, will be airing a little later than was previously announced!

Sadly, WandaVision is soon coming to an end on Disney+ so fans will be anxious to find out when any future series will be airing. In March, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will release, and thankfully, we now have a confirmed date for when everyone’s favourite villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), will return. The series will tell the story of what happened to Loki after Avengers: Endgame.

At the end of 2020, Disney released a trailer for the show leaving fans in complete desperation to find out more! New episodes (six in total) of the series will be released weekly, giving fans the chance to come up with new theories.

During the trailer, Loki wakes up in the desert before being held prisoner by an organisation called the TVA. He is then seen in various odd situations such as skydiving off a plane before beaming up to Asgard using the Bifrost. “Brother, Heimdall, you better be ready” are the final words spoken in the trailer.

Despite this, the official synopsis gives us little insight as to what the show is really about reading “Loki features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

It has now been confirmed during their Television Critics Association presentation that the show will begin airing on June 11th, 2021.

Tom Hiddleston will be joined by stars such as Owen Wilson, Richard E Grant, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino and Wunmi Mosaku. The series is written by Michael Waldron and directed by Kate Herron.
