Following on from the announcement that Jamie Foxx will be reprising his role of Electro in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie. Reports suggest that we will be getting 3 Spider-Men to build a live-action Spider-Verse. It is rumoured that Tom Holland will be joined by both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.
Is a live-action Spider-Verse on its way?
It is hard not to speculate after the recent reports and developments, especially after the Foxx report. The latest rumour doing the rounds is that both of the previous incarnations will make an appearance at the end of the upcoming Spider-Man 3 movie. The report comes from Youtuber Grace Randolph, who stated Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, is looking at bringing Holland, Garfield and Maguire together. Similar reports have also come in from Mikey Sutton at Geekosity.
Sutton writes, “Insiders tell me that Maguire and Garfield are being discussed to appear in the final scene of Spider-Man 3”. He also stated that even though the news is out, the events leading up to scene will be “startling”.
Tom Holland has also expressed interest in sharing the screen with the former Spider-Man stars. According to Heroic Hollywood in 2019 Holland said:
Of course I would love to make a movie with those guys, it would be so cool! It would be amazing, it would be really, really cool. And it’s something that the fans really want. So whether Marvel and Sony decided to do that, it’s up to them
Whether there is any truth to these rumours is yet to be seen. But after the success of Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, I am sure a live-action version would go down very well with fans.

As always we will keep you updated as we hear more on this.
