Krysten Ritter’s run as Jessica Jones ended in 2019 when Netflix cancelled the show following its third season. The show premiered in 2015 and starred Ritter as Jessica Jones, a retired superhero who opens a detective agency after she accidentally killed someone.
Like the rest of the characters featured in Netflix’s The Defenders, fans have been left to wonder if Jessica Jones will appear in the MCU again. Recent rumours have suggested that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil may reprise his role as Matt Murdock. There have also been reports that Iron Fist could make a return, although it seems that the character could be rebooted with actor Finn Jones unlikely to return.
In a recent post on his Patreon, serial scooper DanielRPK revealed that Ritter is set to reprise the role of Jessica Jones in She-Hulk. The rumour was backed up by TheDisInsider, who states that they’ve been hearing similar reports as well.
Coincidentally, similar to Daredevil, the rights for the Jessica Jones character are set to revert to Marvel Studios in February of this year, following a two-year period since Netflix’s cancellation.
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until next year to find out if the rumour is true. Not much is known about She-Hulk at his point. We know that Tatiana Maslany will play the role of the show’s star Jennifer Walters. At Disney’s Investor Day presentation, Kevin Feige also confirmed that Mark Ruffalo will also appear in the series.
She-Hulk is currently set to premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
