The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set to release this week and will see Sam and Bucky continue the legacy set by Steve Rogers run as Captain America.
While the dynamic of the two characters will surely be tested, fans ask what may be in store for the pair after the series. We know the showrunner is open to a second series and Marvel boss Kevin Feige has previously discussed the importance of the pair. It now looks like he may have just teased the direction the studio will take with these characters.
PEOPLE EXPECT IT TO BE LIKE WHAT PEOPLE KNOW BEFORE. WHERE IS SEASON 2? WHERE IS SEASON 1? WE REALLY DID APPRoACH IT LIKE WE DO THE MoVIES, WE BETTER DO THIS GREAT OR WE WON’T GET TO DO ANOTHER ONE. IF WE ARE ABLE TO DO ANOTHER ONE, THERE ARE CERTAINlY IDEAS. THE SLIGHT DIFFERENCE, OF COURSE, AS YOU ALL HEARD ME SAY, AND I THINK IS BECOMING CLEAR WITH WANDAVISION, THAT THEY WILL REALLY GO BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN DISNEY+ SERIES AND MARVEL STUDIOS FEATURES. SO, WHERE CHARACTERS SHOW UP AND HOW, WILL SOMETIMES BE A IN A DIRECT SEASON TWO, SOMETIMES IN A FEATURE AND THEN AN ADDITIONAL SEASON.
So it sounds promising that we may see another series featuring Falcon and the Winter Soldier or at least see them in future projects.
We know Wanda will play a major role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and with the introduction of series like Secret Invasion, the Studio is able to do large event titles as a mini-series rather than a film trilogy.
