Whilst travelling home from a road trip with his wife, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn once again took to his Instagram account to help pass some of the time.

As with a previous Instagram Q&A where he revealed that he has no plans for a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4, Gunn once again shared some details about his future with the MCU. When asked by one fan “Not sure if you’ve been asked but would you direct an avengers movie?” Gunn replied:

I haven’t been asked, but I wouldn’t do it if I was.

In a later question Gunn was asked why he wouldn’t want to direct an Avengers movie. Gunn was once again honest in his reply:

Just doesn’t appeal to me.

As you may imagine, a couple of questions from fans requested an update on the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. When asked by one fan when will Suicide Squad and GotG3 release, Gunn remained tight-lipped. No release date has yet been announced, although Gunn himself hinted recently that it will be 2023 before we see Star-Lord and his crew return to the big screen.

The Suicide Squad is being released August 6, 2021. You’ll have to wait for the Guardians release date, but it’s some time after that.
