Recent signs have indicated that production for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has resumed in Australia. Just over a month ago, a news helicopter recorded a video showing crew constructing the film’s set. A few days prior to that, actor Michelle Yeoh posted images of her take a Coronovirus test in Sydney, leading to a rumour that she had joined the film’s cast.
With production now back in full swing, another Instagram picture may have revealed another star that is set to make an appearance in Shang-Chi. The image came from The KOGI Korean BBQ account, which showed Simu Liu with Doctor Strange star Benedict Wong.
There have been rumours previously that linked sorcery and wizards to Shang-Chi. With one of the three sanctums based in Hong Kong, it’s entirely possible that Wong could appear as a small cameo. There have also been suggestions that Shang-Chi could feature Karl Mordo. Mordo was an assistant to the Ancient One who left the Masters of the Mystic Arts towards the end Doctor Strange after feeling betrayed by his former allies.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is set to release on May 7th, 2021.
