Phase four of the MCU kicked off last month with the Disney+ release of WandaVision. The series has already introduced us to some new characters, with more set to be introduced in upcoming projects in the future. Some of the more interesting character entries joining the MCU are those from the Young Avengers.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will introduce Elijah Richardson who will be playing Eli Bradley/Patriot. Dominique Thorne will be playing Riri Williams in Ironheart and Xochitl Gomez will play America Chavez in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Not forgetting Hailee Steinfeld who will be playing Kate Bishop in the upcoming Hawkeye series.
Now we have some information regarding a new cast member that we will see in an upcoming episode of WandaVision. Isiah Knott has made 2 posts in recent weeks on his Instagram account. The first post was a picture of himself in a sweatshirt with the WandaVision logo. The image was also accompanied by the following text:
💥🏠📺 SURPRISE 📺🏠💥 had to keep this under wraps for a while but am excited to finally be able to announce that i had the incredible opportunity to be a part of @marvelstudios’ new series, @wandavision. to be involved in a MCU production (let alone a series dedicated to my favorite avenger) has been one of the most surreal/magical experiences & a dream come true. extremely grateful & ecstatic to join such a talented & “visionary” piece.
watch #WandaVision now streaming on @disneyplus!!! new episodes every friday — keep an eye out you might see a familiar face 😉
The second post has arrived on January 25th but has unfortunately been taken down. The images reportedly showed Knott in character with the caption “an experience of a lifetime… thank you Marvel Studios”.
While Knott’s character is currently only listed as “boy next door” and there is no confirmation of when he will appear, there a theory that his character will play a larger role in the series and the MCU as a whole.
It is thought that Knott could be taking on the role of the Young Avengers character, Hulkling. This would work very well into the series as Knott would be the perfect age to play the character and his relationship with Billy (Wanda and Vision’s son) in the comics will help hugely with the character development for both of these characters and the team as a whole.
While we wait to see if this is true or not, don’t forget to tune into Disney+ this Friday to stay updated with the series.
