The upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home will see Tom Holland return as the web-slinger in his third solo outing. The film is rumoured to feature a huge array of cast members from past Sony Pictures Spider-Men movies and returning MCU characters. We now have confirmation that Hannibal Buress will be reprising his role as Coach Wilson.
Buress played the gym teacher Coach Wilson at Peter Parker’s school, Midtown High, in Spider-Man: Homecoming. He was a hit with the fans who were disappointed he wasn’t included for the road trip in the follow-up movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The actor has now revealed his appearance in the third movie in a since-deleted, video on his Instagram account. Luckily, Twitter user @SpiderMan_MCU_ managed to grab some images before it was deleted.
While many fans are worried that the large scale story and casting may detract from the smaller scale, street-level feel of Homecoming, the inclusion of Buress shows there will at least be some grounded elements. I mean, what’s more grounded than gym shorts?
Spider-Man: No Way Home is due to hit the big screen in December 2021.
