The Guardians of the Galaxy were one of the more obscure teams to enter the MCU when they burst onto the big screen in 2014, but the rag-tag team of misfits soon became a fan favourite. Since the complications with the firing and re-hiring of James Gunn, fans were excited to finally get confirmation of a third movie.

Fans will get to see more of the team in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder and we will also get treated to a Christmas special in 2022. The latest sizzle reel from Marvel Studios has now confirmed the release date for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 along with the official logo.

The logo is very simplistic itself but could be an indication of the movie’s plot. The logo’s subheading colour scheme is reminiscent of the comic colours of Adam Warlock who was teased at the end of Vol. 2. Adam Warlock is a character that fans have been hoping to see in the MCU for a while now.

The other confirmation from the sizzle reel was the movie’s release date. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled to release on May 5th 2023, 12 months after the team’s next appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder.
