With all of the Phase 4 MCU movies suffering delays due to the Coronavirus pandemic, fans have been left wondering what will happen to the upcoming Disney+ TV series. Recently, Disney CEO, Bob Chapek, stated in an earnings call that the media giant wasn’t sure when production would be able to resume.
There still hasn’t been any official update from anyone at Disney or Marvel yet. But with Covid19 still causing production problems around the globe, many fans have been anticipating that both The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision could be delayed.
Thankfully, that might not be the case. Earlier today, a Twitter user asked the @DisneyPlusHelp Twitter account for an update and the response was positive. Both shows are still expected to hit Disney’s streaming service this year. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier which was previously expected to release in August may have been delayed slightly as the response states “fall 2020”. WandaVision still remains on track for its December release window.
Of course, there is the possibility that the customer service representative / social media admin handling the query might be giving out old information. Like most of us, they aren’t likely to be aware of any planned delays until shortly before an official announcement is made, but we’re taking it as a positive for now.
As soon as any official release dates or delays are announced, we’ll let you know, so stay tuned to MCU Initiative for the latest news from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
