Evidence of Fantastic Four Coming to MCU

Fans of Marvel’s first family have been clamoring for a decent version of the Fantastic Four for years now. The 2005 adaptation was OK but the sequel was utterly disappointing. And the 2015 reboot was even worse still.

Fox has made a complete hash of the franchise but the distribution right returned to Marvel Studios in March 2019. While there has been no confirmed news of an introduction of the family into the MCU, there are rumors stirring that they are on their way.

Kevin Feige has only hinted once about them coming to the MCU publicly, stating they will not be seen until well into Phase 5. That being said, there is some new evidence that has come to light via Charles Murphy at Murphy’s Multiverse.

The Evidence…

It appears that Marvel has registered two new production companies, Solve Everything Productions and Grass-Fed Productions. While the name of the latter leaves many questions the first does have a tie-in to Mr. Fantastic, Reed Richards, Himself.

While we have not had confirmation that a Fantastic Four project is in the works, the speculation regarding this has been enormous. From rumors of John Krasinski and Emily Blunt playing Mr. and Mrs. Fantastic to Giancarlo Esposito to playing Doctor Doom.

Is Fantastic Four on its way then?

While this is still all speculative, there is reason to look further into this Evidence. Firstly Marvel has filed paperwork for every project they announced at SDCC and D23 last summer, with the exception of Blade. So with Marvel registering two production companies then that means there are 2 more projects planning to go into production. While we know one is Blade, we can assume this may be Grass-Fed Productions (due to Vampires seeing humans as the equivalent of “Grass-Fed” Cattle), then that would leave Solve Everything Productions for the Fantastic Four.

Further hints at the introduction would be the rumors of Marvel looking to develop an Illuminati project for the future. The Illuminati team consists of Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Professor Xavier, and Doctor Strange. While they would still need to introduce Professor X, I doubt they would wish to introduce half this team at once as new characters.

Well, we may have to be patient to finally get a decent Fantastic Four movie, we will, of course, keep you updated as we hear more on this hopeful rumor. In the meantime, why not take a look at our fan picks for casting options of the Fantastic Four below.
