Elizabeth Olsen who plays Wanda Maximoff in the MCU has finished filming the Disney+ series WandaVision which will start airing on the streaming service on January 15th 2021. It was announced during last year’s Comic-Con that Olsen would star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Doctor Strange 2 is reported to begin filming by the end of November but with Cumberbatch also due to appear in Spider-Man 3 which only just began filming, then his role in that movie may not be too big. In a recent interview, Olsen has revealed she is due to begin filming for the Doctor Strange sequel soon, so it appears Cumberbatch’s time in Atlanta will come to an end soon we and he will be joining Olsen.
In an interview with Condé Nast Traveler, Elizabeth Olsen revealed that she will begin filming for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in December just outside London.
“I am moving back soon to film the sequel to Dr Strange, so I’ll be there for Christmas, just outside London. Even given the current circumstances, it will be a nice trip.”
While we wait for more news on the movie we will of course keep you updated on any further developments. In the meantime why not check out Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff in the WandaVision trailer below.
