While Marvel Studios confirmed the largest slate of new projects back at the Disney Investors Day, there are still not many actors being confirmed for roles. This latest casting could be nothing more than a rumour or a small tease of even bigger things to come in the MCU. Elijah Richardson appears set to take on Eli Bradley, aka the Patriot, in the upcoming Disney+ series, Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
This latest bit of information comes from IMDB and shows Richardson in the role of Eli Bradley for two episodes of the Disney+ series. And yes while IMDB can be amended anonymously, there have been rumours of Bradley appearing in the show before, and while IMDB has a reputation for occasionally getting things wrong it is usually correct. We have tried to corroborate this information through other sources but as yet we are unable to confirm or deny this.
The appearance of Eli Bradley would be a major boost for a team that has been teased to enter the MCU now for a few years. He is a founding member and the leader of the Young Avengers. The addition of Bradley would see him join fellow Young Avengers, Cassie Lang and Kate Bishop. We may also be introduced to two more team members, Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd, who will be introduced in some capacity in WandaVision, which will land on Disney+ in less than two weeks. That only leaves Teddy Altman, aka Hulking, and Iron Lad (who we may have already seen) to round out the original comic team.
Whether this casting turns out to be true is yet to be seen but as always we will keep you updated as we hear more.
