With principal photography due to commence soon for Doctor Strange 2, crew have started to arrive in London ahead of filming.

Stunt performer CC Ice revealed in an Instagram post that she is now in a “bubble”, the term used to describe groups of people who work/study together to stop the spread of Coronavirus. Ice has been a long time stunt performer in the MCU and has performed general stunts in Captain America: Civil War along with Thor: Ragnarok. She then became Elizabeth Olsen’s stunt double for Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and also WandaVision which we hope to see in December.

This week has seen the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, call for a national lockdown, which will see the closure of all non-essential businesses, for the following 4 weeks due to increasing numbers of Coronavirus cases. According to Hollywood insiders, the lockdown will not have an impact on any film productions taking place in the country.

Previous suggestion were that principle photography would commence end of November which means this are looking to be on track with 2 week quarantine required.

Not much is known of the plot for the film except we will see Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor returning along with the addition of Olsen reprising her role of Wanda Maximoff. In a recent interview Ejiofor had the following to say of the films director Sam Raimi.

I love Sam Raimi, so I’m very excited that he’s making a film, the second Doctor Strange. “He brings to anything he does, a wealth of imagination and passion. In this genre, he’s just one of the seminal figures. I remember seeing Darkman when I was a kid. It was beyond, it’s so amazing.

So I think he has an incredible mind and I think he’s really able to bring that mind into his storytelling in a really unique way, and it’s very suited to the world that’s been created by Doctor Strange, and I’m very excited to see what he does with that world.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is due for release on March 25th, 2022. As always we will keep you updated as we hear more on the films progress.
