Phase Four of the MCU is well underway with seven episodes of the thought-provoking WandaVision series already watched by millions. The rest of the year seems like the MCU has no plans of slowing down and will see five more series enter the MCU on Disney+. One of those series is Ms. Marvel and we have news that the cast is growing.
While the character of Kamala Khan is growing in popularity almost by the day, we have news from the Hollywood Reporter that newcomer Laurel Marsden has been added to the already talented cast and crew. Marsden will take on the role of Kamala Khan’s (Iman Vellani) classmate, Zoe Zimmer.
In regards to Marsden’s character, we are not sure how much screen time she will get, but we can assume there will be a fair amount. In the comics, Zimmer starts out a bully but soon becomes close friends with Kamala and eventually has a crush on Kamala’s other close friend, Nakia.
Exactly where the show will go with these stories is yet to be seen, but one thing is for sure. This show is shaping up to be one of the MCU highlights of the year by not only introducing a new character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe but also introducing new and upcoming talent in this project.
Ms. Marvel will air on Disney+ in late 2021 but as yet has no confirmed release date or plot details.
