Last year, it was announced that Bob’s Burgers writers Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin had agreed to write the third instalment of Deadpool, now to take place in the MCU.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige gave an update on the project on 24th February during the TCA press tour, while discussing the strategy Marvel is making to release more adult-oriented projects. So, if you are worried about Deadpool aiming its audience towards children and families, don’t be! Both Feige and Reynolds have promised there will be an R rating for the film.

Other than Deadpool, which has already established itself as a certain genre and a certain rating, that we already said we would not mess with when we started working on Deadpool – which we have – other than that, we haven’t encountered a story or a storyline or a character’s journey that a PG-13, or the tone, or the ratings we’ve been using up to this point has prevented us We’ve told all the stories that we wanted to with the tonality and the rating we have now.

So there we have it. Deadpool will be R-Rated. But what of other movies that we were expecting a higher rating of, like Blade?

It was recently reported that Stacy Osei-Kuffour has been hired to pen the script for Blade, which will now be called Blade, The Vampire Slayer. Based on the above comments from Feige it appears as though Blade will not be getting the R-Rated treatment that we expected.
