With what we have seen of the first three phases of the MCU we know that they plan ahead. How far ahead we are not sure. But have they been setting up the appearance of the Young Avengers?
In an interview before the release of Avengers: Endgame, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, stated the below when questioned on the appearance of the young Avengers.
… So…where and when we would see the evolution of that? I don’t know. And certainly – taking our cue from the comics as we always do – that’s why we wanted Cassie, a very young Cassie in this movie, to be inspired by her father. Just planting seeds.
In recent movies there have been clues that some of the main characters have been paving the way for the next generation of superheroes. With the MCU as a whole expanding to encompass more of the universe and also exploring the multiverse then there are endless possibilities as to where these new heroes can come from, but lets see what we know so far of the possible team members.
Cassie Lang is the daughter of Scott Lang, Ant-Man. She appeared in both, Ant-Man and its sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, but was only 9 years old. When Scott returns in Avengers: Endgame his daughter is now 14 years old. She had already shown her interest in being a partner to Scott in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Kate Bishop is the daughter of Clint Barton A.K.A Hawkeye. She was has already been portrayed as being competent with a bow as seen in the opening scene of Avengers: Endgame. With Hawkeye getting his own series on Disney+ will this create the opportunity for Kate to take on the mantle of a new Hawkeye?

Remember the Kid that helped Tony when he was stranded in Iron Man 3? That was Harley Keener and he was played by Ty Simpkins, who was also seen at the funeral of Tony Stark. This may be a coincidence but many think not. Harley has already shown he has a knack for gadgets so he could be a likely person to follow on in the footsteps of the legendary Iron Man.
So these are the possible Characters we have already met but what of those we may be yet to meet? Below are those who may yet be introduced in the upcoming movies or series.
With Loki getting his own series on Disney+ the God of Trickery is not finished. The rumor is that he will be trapped in an adolescent body with his memories in tact. Could he change his nature based on what he has seen so far?
Wiccan and Speed
Wiccan and speed are the twin sons of Wanda Maximoff. They are most likely going to be introduced in the upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision. Both have different abilities and would add some diversity to the group with Wiccan having similar abilities to his mother and Speed having similar abilities to his uncle Quicksilver.
Hulkling is the son of the original Captain Marvel – Mar-Vell, and a Skrull princess he is a Skrull/Kree hybrid. The original story may be hard to reproduce now that Mar-Vell is a woman in the Captain Marvel Movie, but with the relationship she had with the Skrulls this could go places.
Kamala Khan is getting her own series on Disney+ and would allow this to be an easy addition to the team. She gets her powers from the Inhumans and models herself on Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel).
Monica has already been introduced in Captain Marvel as the daughter of Maria Rambeau and was the second version on Captain Marvel in the comics. Although she will be a lot older than the rest of the members she could play a siilar role to that played by Nick Fury in setting up the Avengers.
