In May, it was revealed that Thelma & Louise and Happy Gilmore actor Christopher McDonald has been cast in the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion. At the time of writing, the role McDonald will play in the series hasn’t been announced, however, it is rumoured that the star will play a newly created character in the MCU that will possibly cross over into other movies and TV series.
Before Secret Invasion’s official announcement at Disney’s Investor Day presentation last December, rumours had circulated that a series starring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury will begin production in mid-2021. It appears as if those reports were accurate as McDonald has revealed that he is due to begin filming for Secret Invasion soon.
In a recent interview with The Movie Dweeb, the actor states that he will come to London in around four to six weeks to “make this thing happen”. You can watch a clip of the interview below:
A little bit later in the interview, McDonald was asked which star he is looking forward to working with the most. McDonald shared that he will be doing a lot of work with Samuel L. Jackson, whilst also enthusing over fellow stars Olivia Coleman and Emilia Clarke.
Secret Invasion is currently without a release date.
