With things starting to get to some sort of “new” normality the entertainment industry is ramping things up and progressing several projects. Marvel Studios are no exception. With the recent news of Tom Holland arriving in Atlanta to start filming of Spider-Man 3, we now have news that Christian Bale has arrived in Sydney, Australia, to begin filming the fourth instalment in the Thor franchise.
Thor: Love and Thunder, was originally planned to start shooting in the summer it has inevitably been pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. Filming is now expected to start in January but with the arrival of Natalie Portman recently for principal photography we can now assume Christian Bale is here for the same reason.
Portman is one of many MCU veterans returning for the film but the addition of Bale is one that many fans (myself included) are very excited about. Up to now the only information we have on his involvement is that he will be taking on the role of the villain of the film, apparently…
Fans have several theories of who he could be playing including Beta Ray Bill and Balder the Brave amongst others. Filming is still some time off so it may be a while before we see any set photos or videos, but if we do we will be sure to keep you updated. In the meantime check out the footage of Bale arriving in Sydney below.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our friends over at MCU Portal for creating the fantastic header image.
