The upcoming Black Widow is set to release on October 28th in the UK, which is more than one week earlier than the announced US release date of November 6th.
The news was revealed by Digital Spy, with Disney confirming that the Marvel tradition of opening first in the UK will continue with Black Widow. The tradition was halted with the release of Avengers: Infinity War due to the huge number of spoilers that it contained.
The announcement does depend, however, on cinemas in the UK being open at that point in time. Earlier this week, the UK Government announced its plans to begin reducing the lockdown over several months in a bid to kick-start the flagging economy. Cinemas are likely to be included in “Step Three” of the plan, which means they will remain closed until at least July 4th, and will likely need to enforce strict social distancing measures if they are to open at that point.
