After initially being postponed by 6 weeks due to the current Coronavirus Pandemic, the Kids’ Choice Awards, went ahead behind closed doors via virtual telecast.
The show was hosted by Victoria Justice, the star of Nickelodeon’s “Victorious, and not only dished out slime and awards aplenty, but it also donated $1 million to No Kid Hungry, a National Campaign to help end childhood hunger and people affected by COVID-19.
Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner, all made a special appearance. Their blockbuster movie Avengers: Endgame took home the award for favorite movie, and Tom Holland (Spider-Man) was awarded favorite superhero.
Other Winners were Netflix’s Stranger Things, American talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
