Despite the Coronavirus restrictions slowly lifting in many countries around the world, there’s still a great deal of uncertainty for film and TV makers. Originally scheduled to release on Disney+ in August, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is one show that was forced to pause filming in March. Whilst work has been able to continue remotely on visual effects and editing, some filming is still required to complete the episodes. That’s left many fans to wonder if the show will hit it’s planned release date.
In an appearance on The Tonight Show, Anthony Mackie told host Jimmy Fallon that filming will hopefully resume soon. The star who plays Sam Wilson/Falcon also revealed that there’s “very little stuff to do.”

Recently, the official Disney+ Help account on Twitter confirmed that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision are both expected to release this year. If Marvel can resume filming soon, WandaVision may hit it’s December release. Time is beginning to run out for Sam and Buckie to hit Disney+ in August, however, so don’t be too surprised if we learn of a delay in the near future.
