Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennet has denied a recent rumour suggesting she would reprise her role as Daisy Johnson in a future Disney Plus series.
Last week, reports from multiple sources indicated that Marvel Studios are in the early stages of developing Secret Warriors. Little is known about the project other than Kevin Feige is set to produce and that Marvel is actively looking for a writer. It wasn’t even clear at the time if Secret Warriors would be a feature-length film or TV series.
Due to the fact that the original iteration of Secret Warriors included Quake as well as fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. character Yo-Yo Rodriguez, rumours began to circulate that Bennet and actor Natalia Córdova-Buckley could be set to continue playing their roles once the final season of S.H.I.E.L.D. concludes.
When asked directly by a fan on Twitter about Daisy Johnson moving to Disney Plus, Chloe Bennet sadly revealed: “I haven’t heard anything about that besides on twitter”.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that Secret Warriors isn’t going ahead, and it doesn’t necessarily rule out the return of Quake either, especially considering how early in the planning stage Secret Warriors seems to be.
You can catch Chloe Bennet in the seventh and final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when it premieres on May 27th.
