Following on from the season 7 premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. last night, Deadline published an interview with the show’s creators, Maurisa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon, and producers Jeph Loeb and Jeffrey Bell. During the interview, the showrunners confirmed that season 7 will “bump” into something from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
WHEDON: We’re going to bump into something.
LOEB: (LAUGHS) Yeah, we’ll bump into something.
BELL: Something will definitely happen.
Unsurprisingly, the creative minds behind Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stopped short of confirming exactly how and in which episode(s) season 7 will connect with the MCU. It does, however, add some weight to the hint from the show’s visual effects supervisor last week that the show will address Thanos’ snap before the final episode.
Episode 2 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s seventh and final episode airs next Wednesday, on ABC. You can check out the full interview on Deadline here.
