Disney’s acquisition of Fox means that Marvel Studios have access to some of the previously unavailable characters like the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Some of these characters are already starting to appear in the MCU like Evan Peters version of Quicksilver. We now have reports that more of these characters will be entering the MCU and this may be sooner than first anticipated.
The latest report comes from Giant Freakin Robot, who claim that we will get two characters from the previous Fox Studios along with one entirely new character. These will all make their MCU debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Now the three characters in question are huge and will apparently help build the beginnings for a superhero team that has been mentioned a few times in previous rumours. If this is true then we may be looking at the Illuminati in the MCU before too long, a theory we have already discussed.
Who are these characters?
For any avid comic book fans, you will most likely have guessed who these characters may be. The three characters are Reed Richards (Mr Fantastic), Charles Xavier (Professor X) and Namor the Sub-Mariner.
Giant Freakin Robot state that this news comes directly from a reliable source on the set of Doctor Strange 2 which is currently filming in the UK. The source says that these characters have been spotted filming but has given no indication as to who is playing any of the roles.
Now this could all be speculation but we have had a fantastic four project confirmed back in December, and we know the mutants are now entering the MCU so this would be as good a place as any to bring in Professor X. As for Namor the MCU have been looking at ways to introduce the character for years now.
Well, that’s all we have on this now but as we hear more we will as always be sure to let you know.
